The Trans Bhutan Trail was initiated based on the King’s vision to restore the ancient paths used by the local people in the past. This trail stretches approximately 403 kilometres (or 250 miles) from Haa in Western Bhutan to Trashigang in Eastern Bhutan. It is regarded as one of the most incredible walking trails in the world and is considered one of the best hiking routes available. The whole trek takes about 36 days. Alternatively, you can opt for a shorter version that still offers most of the highlights on this trail.
